Engine Oil Filter Cartridge, Specifications & Fitment

This is a replaceable element oil filter cartridge for earlier Detroit Diesel DD13, DD15 and DD16 engines, the GHG14 era housings used before the Gen 5 changeover. It drops into the engine mounted canister and keeps soot, carbon and wear metal out of the oil so bearings and the turbo stay protected. Hengst is an OE filter source for Detroit, so the media and seals match the dealer part. Fit a fresh cartridge with new seal rings at every oil service to keep full flow and prevent the bypass valve from opening early.
